We spent 5 days/4 nights at Rosario Resort on Orcas Island. Our hiking adventures included hiking all around lovely Eastsound, Moran State Park, and the grounds of Rosario Resort. We escaped the heat from the mainland, but not the wild-fire smoke haze that has covered most of the Pacific Northwest. We had a great time playing on the playground in the state park, getting ice cream treats in Eastsound, watching for black-tail deer, and walking the shorelines. We even had breakfast in the fire station, at the annual Firefighters pancake breakfast. We ate at many good restaurants and one bad one (avoid HogStone Wood Oven).
12-year anniversary, we stayed here on our Honeymoon.

This way, that way, anyway.
On the trail in Moran State Park.
Fab, fit, fun.
We hiked to the falls and around the lake.
The smoke haze filter changed the bright sunlight to a deep yellow color.
