Today Levi and I spent the morning looking for adventure on the Chirico Trail, heading up to Poo Poo Point. We went about 2/3 of the way up to the point, and gained about 1600 feet in elevation. The climb up was not the problem, the climb down on the steep, rocky trail was tough and frustrating for Levi. He climbed up the trail like a husky sled dog, just would not slow down, and we could have made it all the way to the lookout point. We decided to turn around to make sure we were on time for afternoon preschool, and we were. This hike is a very, very crowded hike when the weather is nice, and on a rainy Tuesday in October, we saw at least 25 other serious hikers. We had a great time and we will return with plans to "summit".

Boys day out on the trail.
Down the trail he goes, full speed ahead.
These are the rocks that made the downhill tricky.
Easy to follow, rocky trail, but steep in many places.
That's my boy!
